The initiative aims to promote reflection on intersectionality in higher education through the development of a social awareness campaign created by students from the fields of Art and Design, Communication and Multimedia Design, and Organizational Communication.
Throughout November, awareness sessions will take place in selected Academic Units of the Polytechnic University of Coimbra (PUC), led by representatives of WP5 – Diversity, Inclusiveness & Multiculturalism. These sessions aim to introduce and discuss the topic of intersectionality, promoting dialogue and sharing perspectives among students and faculty. Simultaneously, flyers and awareness materials developed by Design for Them students will be distributed, encouraging collective reflection on diversity, inclusion, and equality in higher education.
This initiative brings together creativity, social responsibility, and collaborative learning, highlighting the role of design as a means of social and intercultural transformation.
