SUMMARY:Practical Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Students
DESCRIPTION:A hands-on introduction to how modern AI tools work and how to apply them effectively in academic and professional contexts.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nCourse format: Online\n\n\n\nType of program: E-Skill program\n\n\n\nTarget group: All students\n\n\n\nLanguage: English\n\n\n\nCost: Free\n\n\n\nAvailable places: 60\n\n\n\n\nDeadline for admission is 28 March 2026 \n\n\n\nAudience\n\n\n\nThis course is interesting for students who want to learn to use AI tools in a professional manner\, who wish to train now in AI to be more competitive in their future work environment. \n\n\n\nPre-requisites\n\n\n\n\nB2 or similar level of English is necessary.\n\n\n\nNo prior background in computer science\, mathematics\, or programming is required.\n\n\n\nBasic digital skills (using documents\, email\, and online tools) are sufficient.\n\n\n\nCuriosity about how AI tools can support study\, research\, and everyday work is recommended.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nShort Description\n\n\n\nThis course offers a practical introduction to modern Artificial Intelligence tools and how to use them effectively and responsibly. Instead of focusing on theory or complex technical details\, it helps students understand how AI systems behave\, how to interact with them clearly\, and how to integrate them into real academic and professional workflows. \n\n\n\nStudents will learn how to work with AI for writing\, research\, information management\, creative tasks\, and personal productivity\, while also understanding the limits\, risks\, and ethical considerations of these tools. The course is designed to be useful regardless of the student’s field of study. \n\n\n\nContent\n\n\n\n\nHow AI tools work in practice: capabilities\, limitations\, and typical sources of error.\n\n\n\nAdvance Prompting. Structured ways to interact with AI in order to obtain useful\, relevant outputs for everyday university tasks. Different approaches are explored depending on the complexity of the task and the type of result needed.\n\n\n\nUse of AI for writing\, research support\, information management\, and collaboration\, including working with longer documents and institutional materials.\n\n\n\nMultimodal uses: text\, images\, and audio.\n\n\n\nHow AI can be integrated into existing workflows\, adapted to specific roles\, and used responsibly\, with attention to ethical considerations relevant to higher education.\n\n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\nAfter completing the course\, students will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nUse AI tools confidently for study\, research\, and work-related tasks.\n\n\n\nWrite clear instructions and requests that improve the quality of AI-generated outputs.\n\n\n\nEvaluate AI-generated information critically and identify unreliable or incorrect content.\n\n\n\nApply AI to real situations such as document drafting\, knowledge management\, and multimedia creation.\n\n\n\nCustomize AI tools to personal needs using available settings and automation features.\n\n\n\n\nDuration\n\n\n\n30 hours (6 weeks\, 5 hours per week) \n\n\n\n\n2.5 hours of synchronous online sessions per week.\n\n\n\n2.5 hours of guided self-study per week.\n\n\n\n\nAssessment\n\n\n\nTo successfully complete the course\, participants are expected to: \n\n\n\n\nAttend at least 80% of the synchronous sessions.\n\n\n\nSubmit the assigned activities.\n\n\n\nParticipate actively in in-class dynamics and practical exercises.\n\n\n\n\nHow to Apply\n\n\n\n\nMore Info and Registration
