DESCRIPTION:Design a One-Week Student-Led Programme on Clean Seas and Coastal sustainability\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nCourse format: Onsite\n\n\n\nType of program: Outreach programme\n\n\n\nTarget group: Students\n\n\n\nLanguage: English\n\n\n\nLocalisation: Cabo de Gata\, Almería Coast\n\n\n\nAvailable places: 20\n\n\n\n\nDeadline for admission is coming soon \n\n\n\nShort Description\n\n\n\nAre you passionate about marine conservation\, sustainability\, and community engagement? \n\n\n\nDo you want to help protect our beaches and seas while taking part in an international student experience? \n\n\n\nThe UNIgreen Alliance at the University of Almería invites student teams to design and lead an exciting one-week Intervention Camp on environmental education\, coastal socio-ecosystem conservation\, and sustainable solutions to marine pollution\, promoting action towards the protection of marine ecosystems. \n\n\n\nThe selected proposal will be developed and delivered by students with the support and guidance of academic staff\, environmental professionals\, NGOs\, and local communities. \n\n\n\nContent\n\n\n\n\nTypes and sources of marine litter.\n\n\n\nImpacts of plastic pollution on marine and coastal ecosystems.\n\n\n\nMarine and coastal biodiversity conservation\n\n\n\nSustainable management of coastal resources.\n\n\n\nCircular economy and waste reduction strategies.\n\n\n\nEnvironmental communication and awareness campaigns  \n\n\n\n\nParticipants\n\n\n\nThe particpant will by a team composed of both local students from the University of Almería (UAL) and incoming international mobility students (Erasmus) currently studying at UAL. This multicultural and interdisciplinary team will promote intercultural dialogue\, knowledge exchange\, and collaborative learning\, enriching both the design and delivery of the programme. \n\n\n\nActivities\n\n\n\n\nExpert Talks\, Discussions and Training Sessions\n\n\n\nField Activities\n\n\n\nVolunteering and Community Engagement\n\n\n\nLeisure and Social Activities\n\n\n\n\nHow to Apply\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION\n\n\n\n\nProposals should be submitted via a form with in a PDF document containing the following sections: \n\n\n\n\nA title for the camp.\n\n\n\nNames of the team participants and their home universities.\n\n\n\nA brief description of the camp (maximum 500 words).\n\n\n\nA draft programme for the week \, taking into account the required activities listed above.\n\n\n\nA description of the roles and responsibilities of participating students.\n\n\n\nSuggestions for experts\, NGOs\, local organisations\, or local stakeholders who could contribute.\n\n\n\n\nDeadline for submitting proposals: 11 to 23 September 2026
