UNIgreen’s JRC6 – Bioeconomy, Agricultural and Rural Policy – Scientific Mission
Who?
Researchers and PhD students of UNIgreen Alliance universities with Minimum EQF level 7 (MSc or equivalent) in agricultural, environmental, or economic sciences.
Objectives
- Intensification of academic exchange by enhancing access to advanced research resources
- Facilitation of mobility for academics and doctoral students
- Establishing international scientific networks among participants
- Improving research quality through knowledge exchange
- Advancing UNIgreen towards becoming a collaborative community focused on innovation and sustainability
Programme
- Day 1: Arrival of participants, registration, and networking icebreaker.
- Day 2: Introduction to the topic of circular bioeconomy and rural resilience; field visit to local cooperatives (bio-based feedstock collection and processing) or unit for processing of residual biomass; visit to research facilities (e.g. analytical laboratory, demonstration units).
- Day 3: Workshop on sustainable policy frameworks – EU Bioeconomy, Strategy, CAP reforms, and rural innovation ecosystems.
- Day 4: Co-creation lab: design of multi-actor pilot projects on residue valorization and green jobs (linked to Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls); verification of competences.
- Day 5: Presentation of group projects, feedback session, group photo, certification ceremony, and departure.

Who can apply?
Scientists employed by the UNIgreen Alliance Universities or persons completing their doctoral studies at the UNIgreen Alliance Universities, with
- At least CEFR B2 English language proficiency
- At least EQF level 7 of education in the subject area: Health or Agronomy
