We are excited to announce the upcoming SBIP-UNIgreen Challenge, which will take place at SupBiotech on Tuesday, 30 September from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST.
SupBiotech offers the S.B.I.P. (SupBiotech Innovation Projects) programme to there student in biotechnology to work on a real-world project management experience. This innovative programme runs over four years, starting in the second year, and involves around ten weeks of immersion each academic year.
This year, four innovative projects managed by final-year (5th year) students have been selected from among 26 submitted projects to compete in the SBIP-UNIgreen Challenge.
Pitch Day
On 30 September, the selected teams will present their project concepts in front of a bimodal jury, composed of:
- Piotr Gawronski, Professor and Researcher at Institute of Biology Department of Plant Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (online)
- Patrick Gonzalez, Assistant Professor at SupBiotech. Co-coordinator of WP3 Research & Innovation, SupBiotech (onsite)
- Johann Habersetzer, Assistant professor and Researcher at INRAE, Paris-Saclay University (online)
- Marta Henriques, Professor and Researcher at CERNAS (Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society), Polytechnic University of Coimbra
- Thibault Lamoureux, Coordinator of Industrial engineering masters in Bioproduction & Green Chemistry, University-College of the Province of Liège
- Sophie Mothré, Director of the Innovative projects service, SupBiotech (onsite)
- Agnès Saint-Pol, Professor and Researcher at the Agroecological engineering lab of SupBiotech (onsite)
Each team will have 10 minutes to pitch their project, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session with the jury.
Awards
At the end of the session, two winning projects will be selected by the jury.
Each winning team will receive a €1,000 grant to further develop and implement their project.
