Double Master’s degree Biotechnology Engineering and Ingénieur industriel- Biochimie-Bioproduction

Both courses at SupBiotech and at HEPL are organized into theoretical lessons, laboratory practical experiments  and projects. A mobility period at the partner University is mandatory for students applying for the double master’s degrees.

Engineering School of Biotechnology (France)

Biotechnology Engineering is a master’s degree course provided by the SupBiotech Engineering School of Biotechnology (France). SupBiotech’s Biotechnology engineering program is accredited by Medicen Paris Région and Industries and Agro-Resources (I.A.R.). Students will start their educational programme attaining specific skills in fundamental biological sciences, economics and engineering science, as well as technological and general skills. Furthermore, student have the possibility to personalize their curriculum and to specialize in one of the 5 sectors of activities in biotechnology: health, cosmetics, environment, agribusiness or bioinformatics.

University-College Province of Liège (Belgium)

Ingénieur industriel (orientation in Biochimie-Bioproduction) is a master’s degree course provided by the University-College Province of Liège (Belgium).

The numerous skills that students will acquire during the training will allow them to master, invent and create industrial processes allowing the transformation or creation of new materials and molecules in an environmentally friendly world.  They thus use living organisms and molecules (enzymes, bacteria, fungi, yeast, etc.) to produce or treat molecules of interest.

The emphasis of the training is placed on versatility as well as solid practical training allowing them to apply their knowledge. The course includes numerous projects (from the first year), laboratories, but also visits and internships in companies.

    Admission at SupBiotech

    Admission at SupBiotech

At SupBiotech students entering the first year of the five-year course must have a High school diploma and go through a competitive entrance exam (written tests and oral motivational interview) after which they are ranked and selected based on their results.

Students can also apply to SupBiotech through a side track process, after having completed undergraduate studies at another institution. In this case, the application process includes an oral presentation on a scientific topic and a motivational interview. SupBiotech students enrolled in the Engineering Degree in Biotechnology will access the Wallonian Educational System to study the Master’s degree in Ingénieur industriel (Orientation Biochimie-Bioproduction) at the HEPL after having passed at least 240 ECTS in their university of origin (fifth years students), which guarantees that they have acquired the skills and learning results.

    Admission at HEPL

    Admission at HEPL

At HEPL students enrolled in the master’s degree in Ingénieur industriel (Orientation Biochimie-Bioproduction) by completing at least 60 ECTS at SupBiotech, have the opportunity to obtain a second French engineering diploma in biotechnology (CTI recognized) in addition to their HEPL diploma.
