Unigreen’s JRC4 Webinar series: Episode 1
This event, organized within the UNIgreen JRC4 Living Lab framework, brings together researchers, students, and forest practitioners to discuss how mistletoe affects forest health, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
Thematic
Join us for a thought-provoking scientific webinar exploring the many faces of mistletoe, from its ecological roles and forest interactions to its management and research perspectives.
Participants will discover new findings, share experiences across European regions, and debate whether mistletoe is a parasite to be controlled or a keystone species in changing forest ecosystems.
When?
On Tuesday, 18 November, 2025, join us for an online event, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET with expert speaker and engaging discussions.
Who should join?
Researchers, students, forest managers, and anyone curious about forest ecology and sustainability.
Speaker

Wojciech Kędziora
Assistant Professor at the Forest Management Department of the Institute of Forest Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
He deals with issues of forest inventory and analysis of large-scale phenomena.
He is an early-stage researcher in the field of forest inventory, management planning, coarse woody debris, and dendrochronology in temperate forests. His PhD thesis was focused on National Forest Inventory data and assessing site index for Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) in Polish lowlands. Moreover, he is also interested in the spread of mistletoe (Viscum album) in the pine forests of Central Europe. In his interests, he also conducts research in decision support systems and multi-criteria forest management.
