“Assessment and Comparative Analysis of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plans in Relation to the EU Policies and Objectives.”
When and Where?
The seminar will take place at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv (Bulgaria), the 30 September 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 CEST
Who?
The event will bring together academics and students to discuss the alignment of national CAP Strategic Plans with the wider framework of EU policies, particularly the Green Deal, the Farm to Fork strategy, and the Biodiversity strategy.

The seminar will provide a platform for comparative analysis across Member States, highlighting how different countries implement CAP objectives in their strategic planning. Special attention will be paid to the integration of sustainability, climate action, and innovation measures, as well as to the challenges of balancing competitiveness with environmental protection.
The expected impact of the seminar is: first, to stimulate dialogue and knowledge sharing. Second, it is anticipated to identify policy gaps and recommend ways to strengthen the coherence and effectiveness of CAP implementation. By offering a comparative perspective, the seminar is expected to contribute to a better understanding of how national policies can advance common EU objectives for a sustainable and resilient agricultural sector.
