Conference “Building Resilient Higher Education through Microcredentials”

On 25 September 2024, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) will host a conference dedicated to microcredentials, aimed at academic staff.

The event seeks to expand knowledge and skills related to creating flexible educational offerings that respond to the rapidly changing needs of the labor market and social challenges.

What are microcredentials?

These are short, competency-based forms of education that allow participants to quickly acquire specific skills. Upon completion, participants receive electronic certificates that are easy to verify and instantly accessible to employers and educational institutions.

The conference will feature inspiring presentations, panel discussions, and workshops to help participants explore best practices and modern strategies for implementing microcredentials.

The event is being carried out under cooperation agreement no. BNI-UE-2023-3.

The workshop “Teaching Transformation: Building Expertise in Microcredential Course Development” will take place from 24 to 26 September 2024 at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw, Poland.

This workshop is designed for educators committed to developing and implementing microcredential courses. It aims to cultivate future leaders in microcredentials, focusing on innovative educational offerings that align with the dynamic needs of the labour market. This training will equip teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to create and integrate microcredential courses, ensuring they can effectively respond to the evolving demands of the job market and societal challenges.

The workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of the concept and application of microcredentials in higher education. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, group discussions, and practical exercises to enhance their skills in designing flexible, competency-based educational programs. They will also develop tailored implementation plans for their institutions.
