In order to facilitate the transition towards a digital society that is inclusive and sustainable, UNIgreen aims to design, develop, implement, maintain and manage a high-performing, high-quality and inclusive digital education ecosystem.
The core of the UNIgreen Virtual Campus will be the e-learning platform based on LMS Blackboard. That platform provides an extensive range of services to students and beneficiaries, including but not limited to, enrolment in courses, access to contact details of the Joint International Centre as per the user’s requirements, participation in both open and restricted non-formal courses, MOOCs, debates, videoconferences, and other events, which may or may not require a fee.
UNIgreen offers its academic community access to a repository of teaching materials through the Virtual Campus, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing. They also provide a Virtual Library focused on Sustainable Agriculture, Green Biotechnology, and Environmental and Life Sciences.
The Virtual Campus includes an online accommodation service, ensuring easy access to various lodging options. Additionally, a Paperless Office system streamlines administrative tasks and preserves individual procedures, aligning with the Erasmus Without Papers Initiative.
To enhance environmental sustainability, UNIgreen employs online questionnaires for evaluations and employs an online enrolment system. They have established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success, including the number of users and user satisfaction.
The online enrolment system is based on Cursoft, a self-developed SIS with ISO 9001 certification, facilitating user and space management within the Blackboard Learn platform.
