SupBiotech’s technological platform includes laboratories dedicated to Practical Work and Educational Projects. To welcome all our students during their practical activities in the best possible conditions, and to support the school’s development, we are recruiting an Assistant Engineer.
Missions: Reporting to the Laboratory Services Department and the Villejuif site management, you will participate in the educational activities of our institution. Your main tasks will include preparing equipment, managing laboratories, and providing educational support for practical teachings.
Assigned Tasks:
- Prepare and check the necessary equipment for the proper conduct of practical teachings, in coordination with the instructors and members of the Laboratory Services Department
- Set up the laboratory rooms
- Update, consult, and utilise technical documentation
- Provide technical assistance to teachers during practical sessions as needed
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety conditions by students and staff
- Participate in the development of protocols, new techniques, and the result utilisation, as well as the creation of new practical activities if needed
- Manage stocks of consumables and laboratory equipment, following internal procedures
- Independently prepare and track orders in liaison with laboratory management, contact sales representatives and distributors, and issue calls for tenders
- Maintain equipment in good working order, ensure the maintenance and organisation of practical laboratories, associated equipment, and organise storage areas for materials needed for practical work
- Contribute, if necessary, to new equipment and new premise/ laboratory installation
- Participate in monitoring laboratory occupancy schedules and evaluation tracking
- Contribute to intern training within the laboratory services department, if necessary
- Present the teaching laboratories during Open Days and Biotech Days
