SupBiotech is a private higher education institution, a mission-based company, and a member of the Ionis Education Group, which is recognised by the State and accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) to award engineering degrees.
SupBiotech aims to train biotechnology engineers over five years and assistant engineers (a second training programme lasting three years after high school). It addresses tomorrow’s challenges by enabling young graduates to access positions of responsibility both in France and internationally in high-demand sectors such as Healthcare, Pharmacy, Agri-food, Environment, Cosmetics, and Bioinformatics.
Job Description: As a critical player in the life of the school and the development of engineering sciences at SupBiotech, you will have various missions:
I. Pedagogy:
- Deliver approximately 200 hours of engineering science courses for SupBiotech programmes (courses in English or French)
- Write and grade exam papers
- Participate as a jury member in project and internship defences
- Attend class councils
- Attend pedagogical engineering meetings and the pedagogical committee
- Perform group work supervision tasks based on the school’s needs (approximately 50 hours/year)
- Monitor interns and apprentices (approximately 100 hours/year)
II. Head of the Engineering Sciences Department:
- Design, implement, and supervise the engineering sciences programmes for the FISE/FISA/Bachelor/new training courses
- Ensure the quality of teaching by implementing performance indicators in consultation with the Quality Manager
- Contribute to revising the skill frameworks of SupBiotech’s engineering sciences programmes
- Synchronise teachings between SupBiotech sites
- Recruit, train, and supervise permanent/adjunct/professional instructors with the Pedagogical Directors.
- Develop the annual activity plan for instructors to define needs for the next school year.
- Participate in annual interviews of instructors and teacher-researchers affiliated with the department, focusing on the pedagogical aspect.
- Lead the department
- Set objectives and strategic directions in close consultation with department instructors, Pedagogical Directors, research laboratories, and school governance
- Act as the engineering sciences reference for students
III. Additional Missions (subject to additional compensation when conducted on weekends):
- Participation in Open Days or Evenings (approximately 3 per year)
- Participation in motivation interviews for the Concours Advance competition (during April)
Desired Start Date: 02 September 2024. Contract: Full Time- CDI.
Desired Profile: Master’s, engineering, or doctoral degree in engineering sciences with an interest in life sciences.
Qualities Sought:

- Proficiency in English is mandatory (some courses are to be taught in English)
