Ethics Committee

The UNIgreen Ethics Committee will help to ensure proper compliance of UNIgreen, the JRC and researchers with current legislation on ethical principles in research and with Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) guidelines, including the use of biological sources, gender issues, open-data and provision of services to society. Indeed, the Ethics Committee will control and report the compliance with the deontological standards for scientific research, according to regional/national legislation in each of the Alliance countries and at EU level.

The UNIgreen Ethics Committee will be composed of 18 members, 2 per Alliance HEI, appointed by the Board of Directors upon recommendation of the Scientific Council for the European Universities implementation period.

It will define its workplan and propose it to the Board of Directors and Scientific Council for approval, as well as will share its workplan and monitoring procedures with the entire UNIgreen Academic Community and the JRC.
