UNIgreen will organise Scientific Missions with the aim of contributing to the lifelong learning of researchers, to foster excellence, to exchange of knowledge between research staff and between junior and senior researchers that form part of UNIgreen (e.g., affiliated with the Joint Research), to accelerate collaborations and ideation through cultural and scientific blending.
Scientific Missions will be organised within the framework of the UNIgreen Living Lab: an umbrella initiative developed for the acceleration and facilitation of cooperation among staff members. Under the UNIgreen Living Lab, scientists will meet and be actively facilitated to generate new research ideas or prepare joint projects. A part of the UNIgreen Living Lab will be knowledge forums under the form of seminars, which will show the potential and up-to-date research, especially for interdisciplinary works. In collaboration with the Mobility Office, an annual call for proposals will be launched for exchanges between junior and senior research staff, and between junior researchers (involved in UNIgreen PhD programmes) and senior researchers. Research exchanges will take place in the Joint Research Centre and be integrated with the International Doctoral School.
The transnational mobility of researchers and staff will be funded through EU programmes such as Horizon Europe and, when applicable, Erasmus+.
