The “Internationalization Strategy – Building Successful Partnerships” conference held at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) brought together global experts to delve into the goals, opportunities, and challenges of higher education internationalization.
From 28 to 30 October, an international event was held at Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The event, titled “Community Dialogue and Workshop Internationalization Strategy – Building Successful Partnerships”, was made possible by generous funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA as part of the UNIgreen+UA2.0 project. The event featured a community dialogue, panel discussions, speeches by members of the Polish and foreign academic community members, and a day-long workshop on internationalisation strategy. It provided a platform for exchanging ideas, good practices, and exciting opportunities for integration and networking, fostering potential collaborations.
The Community Dialogue, divided into several thematic blocks, was rich in contributions from specialists, lively discussion, and questions from the audience. However, the interaction would not have been possible had it not been for the valuable comments of the guests. Above all, the workshop allowed people to work in small groups, exchange opinions and develop new ideas.
The panellists, representing universities from Poland, Ukraine, Iceland, Spain, the Netherlands, and the USA, brought diverse perspectives to the discussions. Erasmus+ Staff Training Week participants from SGGW’s non-European partner countries attended the workshop. The event’s discussions focused on building strategic partnerships, bringing Ukrainian universities closer to the European Universities initiative, and the challenges of internationalisation, emphasizing the need for strategic planning and effective project implementation.
